Comments/Questions:

Prospective students:

Prospective students are welcome to tour our school and may begin classes at any time; an appointment is required. Please respect the learning environment of the class when visiting the school!

New Students:

New students can start training anytime. We have beginner classes starting weekly. Get started now! You can join in a particular class or try a combination of classes. Work at your own pace and with students who have similar interests and skill levels.

Limited Class Sizes:

To insure that each student receives proper attention, group classes are limited to 20 students. Once a class is filled, new students are accepted when vacancies occur and on a first-come first- served basis.

The martial arts program is developed to suit the needs of the individual in terms of how fast they learn, what specific training they need, what style they want to learn, and the level of skill they want to achieve, all balanced against their available time and budget.

Group Lessons:

A group class is often the first experience for a student embarking on a martial arts program. Group lessons offer several benefits:

  • Group classes are a good way to learn fundamental techniques
  • They meet on a particular night, which simplifies scheduling
  • You can practice with a variety of partners, which improves overall skills
  • Meet people of similar interests
  • Group setting makes classes challenging and fun
  • You can compare your ability and skill level with that of others ("It's not just me; everyone is having trouble with that move!").

Confucius said, "Do not enlighten those who are not eager to learn, nor advise those who are not anxious to give an explanation themselves. If I have presented one corner of the square and they cannot come back to me with the other three, I should not go over the points again."
