About the School

The motto at our school is: “More than kicking and striking … a pathway to self-mastery and fulfillment.” We believe that training is about empowering you—improving your self-confidence and physical fitness, and filling your life with a sense of purpose through the practice of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and the other styles offered at our center. Regardless of the course you choose, the training is all about making you better physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Personalized Training Program

Although certain fundamentals are required of all students, we firmly believe that as training progresses, the student’s individual characteristics will determine the type of training he or she should receive.

Even within the same group class we work closely with each student in personalizing certain aspects of training based on the student’s body type, flexibility, overall physical condition, age and other factors in order to maximize the benefits of each class and to help all students fulfill their full potential in Chinese martial arts.

For example: A person who is slender and naturally more flexible may receive training that emphasizes more kicking, leaping and jumping skills. A student who is more stout will receive training more appropriate for that body type.

This time-tested methodology insures that each student makes steady progress and gains valuable skills from the effort put forth in class and during personal training sessions. Also, it is practical in the sense that each student is learning to master skills that are likely to be successful if needed in a real self-defense situation.
